The European Commission is seeking views on EU health priorities and strategic orientations, to feed into the preparation of the EU4Health work programme 2027.
The Commission has identified five broad strands for support:
- Crisis preparedness and cross-border threats to health
- Health promotion and disease prevention
- Health systems and healthcare workforce
- Digital Transformation
- Cancer, cardiovascular and other NCDs
This targeted consultation is until 12 June 2026.
The results will be compiled in a summary report and shared on the EU4Health website.
Background information
The EU4Health Programme, adopted in March 2021, aims to build a strong European Health Union, in which all EU countries prepare and respond together to health crises, medical supplies are available, affordable and innovative, and countries work together to improve prevention, treatment and care for patients.
