On 30 October 2025, UEHP held its Board and Council meetings in Madrid, following the successful EPHA Awards ceremony on 29 October.
The meetings brought together UEHP members and representatives from across Europe to discuss key developments in the private hospital sector, exchange best practices, and set strategic priorities for the months ahead. Discussions focused particularly on the European Union’s priorities in health policy and the main developments shaping private sector medicine, reflecting UEHP’s commitment to contributing to a sustainable, innovative, and patient-centered healthcare system across Europe.
We also had the chance to listen to Mrs Sanchez-Macian from Vithas Group, who held an engaging presentation about the future of AI in healthcare and how to ensure a human-centred approach.
Following the official meetings, participants had the opportunity to visit the Hospital Fundación Jiménez Díaz, one of Madrid’s leading healthcare institutions. The visit offered valuable insights into innovative approaches to patient care, digital health solutions, and the integration of cutting-edge medical technologies in daily hospital operations. Participants also had the opportunity to experience an impressive AI-driven clinical simulation, showcasing how artificial intelligence is transforming medical training and decision-making in modern hospitals.
