As part of its international expansion strategy, CAHPP travelled to Portugal on April 9 and 10 to explore opportunities to diversify its activities in a fast-evolving healthcare market.
This mission enabled the initiation of a constructive dialogue with key stakeholders in the Portuguese private healthcare sector. The CAHPP delegation, composed of Christophe Sadoine, CEO, Guilhem Biancharelli, Chief Operating Officer, and Ziad Wakim, Chief Information Officer, was notably welcomed by Oscar Gaspar, President of the European Union of Private Hospitals (UEHP) and of the Portuguese Association of Private Hospitals (APHP). His support sends a strong signal in favor of this initiative.
Several meetings with executives from private hospitals and healthcare groups highlighted a shared interest in developing a structured collaboration.
In parallel, discussions were held with several industrial partners already referenced by CAHPP, all of whom expressed strong interest in this opportunity.
The delegation also met with the Portuguese Ministry of Health as well as SPMS, the public body responsible for centralized procurement. While its scope is limited to the public sector, SPMS expressed interest in potential forms of collaboration with CAHPP.
This initial exploratory phase paves the way for a concrete pilot initiative aimed at identifying sustainable, value-creating synergies between CAHPP and Portuguese healthcare providers. It fully aligns with CAHPP’s strategy for growth and innovation.
