To mark 8 March 2026, International Women’s Day, the Association of Private Hospitals in Austria is shining a spotlight on the women who take on responsibility, make decisions and play a key role in shaping our healthcare system on a daily basis: female leaders in Austrian private hospitals.
Under the slogan “Excellence has many faces – yours is one of them!”, a special initiative will showcase portraits of dedicated women from the Association’s member organisations. The campaign highlights what is often taken for granted: expertise, leadership and diversity at the highest level.
We are actively and visibly marking International Women’s Day: a postcard has been created featuring as many portraits as possible of female executives from our member organisations. The finished postcard was then printed and sent to all participating clinics. All women in leadership positions at member organisations were invited – including, among others, managing directors and managers, commercial, medical and nursing directors, heads of administration, department and team leaders, etc.
Diversity that inspires
This year’s initiative brings together women from a wide range of fields – from nursing, medicine and administration to HR, controlling and quality management, right through to marketing, communications and hospital management.
