The Association of Private Hospitals of Kosovo (ASPKS) and the Chamber of Nurses, Midwives and Other Health Professionals of Kosovo (OIK) have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The memorandum was signed by the President of OIK, Ms. Nexhmije Gori and the President of ASPKS, Mr. Armend Agani. It aims to establish cooperation between OIK and ASPKS to develop a coordination mechanism, in exchange of information about employees, members of OIK, and professional activities aimed at the development of health services in Kosovo. It’s objective is also to support nurses, midwives and other health professionals in increasing the quality of their work in private health institutions.
The aim of the memorandum is also to work together to improve policies and procedures for building the professional capacity of nurses, midwives and other health professionals, and to ensure that their interests are properly represented in private health institutions.
The Chamber as well as the Association of Private Hospitals are committed to protecting and strengthening the position of nurses, midwives and other health professionals within the private health sector, by promoting the highest ethical standards, support through continuing professional education and professional practice according to the legislation in force.
ASPKS will provide institutional support for the implementation of reforms and best practices related to the services of nurses, midwives and other health professionals in private health institutions.
