Last 14 November, our Secretary General, Ms Ilaria Giannico, was invited to attend the strategic workshop and contribute to the roundtable “The path towards efficient cancer care: Global challenges, local solutions”, organized by All.Can International, in the framework of the European Cancer Summit 2023.
Ms Giannico had the chance to hear about the latest developments in cancer treatment metrics and to bring the private hospitals perspective to the discussion. Cancer must be fought with all resources and the cancer care provision should be complemented and enriched by the private sector initiatives.
The European Cancer Summit 2023 was a successful event, bringing together stakeholders and experts from all over the world. It was also the occasion to present the Manifesto to 2030, a detailed list of cancer care priorities and proposals compiled by the European Cancer Organisation from input received from its member societies and patient groups.
