UEHP at OECD

The OECD High-Level Policy Forum on the Future of People-Centred Health Innovation held on 22 January 2024 (see the agenda) was an opportunity for UEHP to take part in the OECD’s international work, and to listen to the recommendations made by the health ministers present.

Topics discussed included “The most important global trends today, including climate change, digitalisation, ageing and rising inequalities, affect health systems and are impacted by them. New tools and technologies, such as AI and genomic medicine, could help to tackle many of the most pressing challenges”.

If healthcare systems have too often been considered passive in the face of these structuring trends, it is now important for us to be able to co-pilot the developments needed to modernize healthcare, and to communicate on quality and safety issues to informed patients. UEHP is committed to efficiency, but is also concerned with the patient experience (PREMs) to improve overall performance.

This event was also an opportunity to meet key international players (here (see picture) with Xavier Becerra, the United States Secretary of Health). We would like to thank BIAC for this cooperation between professionals and the OECD, which enables us both to act in the interests of health and to relay decisions impacting on future reforms.
