FEBRUARY 2020 – All French hospital federations (private commercial, public and private non profit) have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Minister of Health setting minimum rates of progression in hospital financing for the next three years.
For the first time, this protocol guarantees French healthcare institutions visibility for coming three years with a minimum evolution of their resources. For Lamine Gharbi, President of the French Federation Private Hospitals (FHP) “In a context of financial constraint, guaranteeing a minimum evolution of our budgets for three years is an important step forward. It is a cultural change for the French hospital world used to waiting feverishly for the publication, in March, of the new rates for the current year”.
The signing of this protocol is the result of a proactive approach by FHP in conjunction with the other French hospital federations. This protocol also outlines the commitment of healthcare institutions to the major areas of transformation of the French healthcare system: improving the relevance and quality of care, quality of life at work, professional attractiveness, etc. “This signature establishes a more mature relationship, based on mutual trust, between the State and health institutions. serving the health of the French people. It is the recognition of the commitment of our institutions in transforming the health system,” said Lamine Gharbi, President of FHP.
